Thinking again about my team.
Even after choosing the team I wanted to contribute to, I decided to start by testing Blueprints. However, as I followed the setup instructions, I realized that it wasn’t what I had expected. I found the whole process confusing, especially when it required installing Visual Studio Code and following several technical steps that I didn’t fully understand. Since I’m still new to WordPress development, I felt a bit lost and wasn’t sure how to continue. In the end, I felt like I had spent a lot of time without making much progress, although I know it was part of the learning process.

Second option: Patterns.
After returning to my original decision, I realized that I still wasn’t completely sure what I should do or how I could contribute effectively. Even so, I wanted to do my best to create something that could be useful for the WordPress community. Because of that, I decided to start creating block patterns, as I thought it would be a good way to contribute while learning how the editor and its features work. Although I still feel like a beginner and have a lot to learn. I hope that, with more practice and experience over the next few weeks, I’ll gain confidence and improve my skills.

After creating a few block patterns, I decided to submit them to the WordPress Pattern Directory. I’m looking forward to receiving feedback and finding out whether they meet the project’s standards. I hope to learn what I did well and what I could improve. No matter the outcome, I’ll use the suggestions I receive to create better patterns and achieve higher-quality results in the future.

An extra contribution
Today, I started contributing to the WordPress Photo Directory by uploading some of my own photographs. I have a few images that I think could be useful for the community, so I decided to share them instead of keeping them only for personal collection. For now, I’ve uploaded a couple of photos and I’m waiting for the moderators to review them and let me know if they meet the submission guidelines. I’m looking forward to their feedback, as it will help me understand the quality standards and improve my future contributions.
